Tupac’s Story has 3 Feminine Energy Lessons For High-Achieving Women… And The Latest News Makes Them Even More Powerful

By RamaTulai

My husband and I were watching the news about the Tupac Shakur murder case when, naturally, he started giving me the full history.

This man was a serious Tupac and hip-hop fan back in the day, so I settled in because I knew I was about to receive a whole documentary! 😂

Here’s what I learned.

Tupac was shot in Las Vegas in September 1996, after attending a Mike Tyson boxing match.

Earlier that evening, he and members of his entourage were involved in a physical altercation with Orlando Anderson, the nephew of Duane “Keffe D” Davis.

Prosecutors argued that the confrontation led to a retaliation plan.

Tupac was shot later that night and died six days later, aged just 25.

Nearly 30 years later, Davis was convicted of first-degree murder in August 2026 and sentenced to 40 years to life in prison this week on 13 October. He has said he intends to appeal.

Now, I know there is MUCH more to this story.

Gang rivalry. Retaliation. Pride. Masculinity. Loyalty. The culture surrounding the people involved.

This post isn’t about simplifying any of that.

But listening to my husband explain the story got me thinking about something.

What can we, as high-achieving women, learn about emotional control, pride and feminine energy?

  1. NOT EVERY CONFRONTATION DESERVES A RESPONSE.

Someone disrespects you, challenges you or questions your competence.

And suddenly, you’re ready to show them that you are NOT the one to play with!

As high-achieving women, we’re used to taking action and standing our ground.

But strength doesn’t mean responding to everything.

You can set boundaries without turning every disagreement into a battle.

You can disagree without needing the last word.

You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to.

  1. DON’T LET WOUNDED PRIDE MAKE DECISIONS YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL PAY FOR.

Sometimes, our reaction has less to do with the situation and more to do with how it makes us feel.

In marriage, it might mean deliberately saying something hurtful because your husband hurt your feelings.

At work, it might mean sending that email because somebody embarrassed you in a meeting.

And sometimes, we keep arguing simply because we cannot stand the thought of someone having the last word!

😂

The problem isn’t feeling angry. You’re human.

The question is whether you allow that anger to decide your next move.

Before reacting, ask yourself:

“Am I responding from wisdom, or am I trying to repair my wounded pride?”

Not every victory is worth the price you pay to achieve it.

  1. WALKING AWAY IS NOT LOSING.

Sis, I’m not telling you to tolerate disrespect or abandon your boundaries.

I’m talking about knowing which battles deserve your energy.

Sometimes, we keep explaining because we want to be understood.

We keep defending ourselves because we cannot bear being misunderstood.

And we keep arguing because we want the other person to admit we’re right.

Meanwhile, our peace is suffering.

Feminine energy isn’t about being passive. It’s about having enough self-mastery to choose your response rather than being controlled by your emotions.

You can be angry without becoming destructive.

You can stand up for yourself without losing control of yourself.

And you can walk away without feeling defeated.

Your power isn’t just in what you can DO. It’s also in what you can choose NOT to do.

So tell me, sis

Have you ever looked back at a situation and realised that walking away would have been more powerful than reacting?
