Mariame Cisse Launches The Mother Who Dreams, a Book for Mothers Who Have Forgotten Themselves

Emotional Leadership Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, storyteller, and founder of M Power Moms, Mariame Cisse, has launched her new book, The Mother Who Dreams.

Written from her own experiences as a mother of six, the book speaks to mothers who love their children deeply but may have lost sight of their identities, purpose, and dreams while caring for everyone else.

“I wrote this book for the mother who has spent years putting everyone before herself, the mother who still has dreams in her heart but may feel guilty for wanting more,” Mariame says.

The Mother Who Dreams explores identity, maternal guilt, exhaustion, healing, presence, purpose, and the quiet ways mothers can begin moving towards their dreams. Through personal reflections and practical exercises, Mariame encourages mothers to honour both their families and the women they are becoming.

The book was shaped by Mariame’s own journey through childhood separation, single motherhood, twelve relocations between Paris and London, personal challenges, and rebuilding her life and identity.

Her message is not about choosing ambition over family. It is about helping mothers understand that loving their children and pursuing meaningful dreams can exist together.

“A mother should not have to abandon her dreams to be a good mother. She can hold her children and hold her dreams.”

Through M Power Moms, meaning “Mothers on a Mission”, Mariame hopes to build a wider movement where mothers feel seen, supported, and reminded that their lives and dreams still matter.

Mariame has a deep compassion for humanity and believes that compassion should never have borders. Her lived experiences have shaped her into a compassionate guide, driven by a desire to see mothers, children, and families feel seen, valued, and supported.

Reflecting this commitment, Mariame intends to dedicate 10% of the profits from her book sales during the first three months of the book’s launch to supporting children with additional needs and their mothers in The Gambia. For Mariame, this is one way of turning her compassion into meaningful action and extending her impact beyond the pages of her book.

The Mother Who Dreams is now available on Amazon.
