Morocco-backed sports giant Tibu Africa is officially coming to The Gambia, marking a potentially major new push into youth and school sports development across the country.
The announcement came after a launch event at Latrikunda Sabiji Lower Basic School attended by Youth and Sports Minister Bakary Y. Badjie and Education Minister Dr. Habibatou Drammeh.
“Tibu Africa has accepted to add The Gambia to the list of countries in Africa where they are intervening,” Minister Badjie wrote, as the government moves to formalise the partnership through a cooperation agreement focused on sports, health and community-based youth programmes in Gambian schools.
