President Adama Barrow has launched another phase of the government’s 1,500-kilometre nationwide roads project in the Upper River Region (URR), with new routes targeting several rural communities long affected by poor access.
According to State House, President Barrow laid foundation stones for the Yerobawol to Jagular, Darsilame to Kuwonku Ba, Sare Yeroky to Sare Demba, Wellingara Bakary to Sare Pateh Lo, Ndau Deh to Wellingara Yareh, Makamasireh to Musakunda, and Darboe Kunda to Foday Kunda through Sare Koli Kunda routes.
The government says the projects form part of its broader national development agenda aimed at improving transport access and essential services in remote communities.
