Gomez Meets Military Top Brass After Cham Exit From GAF Leadership

Days after former Chief of Defence Staff Lieutenant General Mamat O. Cham resigned following allegations of misconduct and abuse of office, Acting Chief of Defence Staff Major General Ousman Gomez on Wednesday held his first meeting with the military’s top brass at Defence Headquarters in Banjul.

The high-level gathering focused on the Gambia Armed Forces’ priorities, unity and collective effort, with Gomez noting that the success of the GAF depends on personnel working together in service to the country.
