Gambian Man Dies After Allegedly Killing Two Men Outside Gay Bar in Arizona

A 44-year-old man reported to be originally from The Gambia has died after police say he shot and killed two men outside Venture-N, a gay bar in Arizona, United States, early Monday.

Ousman Ceesay, who had reportedly moved to Arizona from Oklahoma about a month earlier, confronted Cameron Davis Capara, 33, and Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, in the bar’s parking lot at around 12:30 a.m. before shooting them, according to police.

Both men died at the scene. Ceesay, who also suffered a gunshot wound, was taken to hospital but later died. Authorities have not yet officially confirmed how he sustained the wound.

Police are investigating the killings as a possible hate crime after finding a note in Ceesay’s possession containing the names of several LGBTQIA+-associated businesses.

Police said there is no known continuing threat to the public.
