Constituency Official Accuses Latrikunda Sabiji NAM of Voter Registration Fraud

Bakary Danso, Secretary-General for Latrikunda Sabiji Constituency, has accused National Assembly Member Yahya Sanyang of deliberately attempting to undermine the voter registration process, alleging that he transported ineligible individuals from Lamin and Bakoteh to register at the Rex Nursery School polling station in Fajikunda.

In a statement, Danso said the incident was “not a matter of misunderstanding or error” but “a deliberate attempt to undermine the integrity of our electoral process,” questioning why the individuals were not registered in Lamin, “where they would have been rejected outright due to a lack of proper documentation.”

He further alleged that Sanyang tried to pressure an Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) supervisor to approve the registration despite the missing documents, describing it as “a shocking display of disregard for the rule of law” and “a betrayal of public trust,” while calling on the lawmaker to “stop misleading the public” and take responsibility.
