10-Year-Old Isatou Jarju Dies in Turkey After Cancer Battle

Ten-year-old Isatou Jarju, whose battle with cancer drew an overwhelming public response and raised millions of dalasis for her treatment, has sadly passed away in Turkey.

Isatou travelled to Turkey for medical treatment after a major fundraising campaign led by The Fatu Network and the GoFund Team under Matarr Jassey. Despite efforts to save her, she passed away while receiving treatment there.

Her remains are expected to arrive in The Gambia on Wednesday at 5:00 AM. Details of her funeral arrangements will be announced later.
