Meet Mariame Cisse: Helping Mothers Find Themselves Again and Make Space for Their Dreams

Mariame Cisse is a Gambian woman born in France, brought up in The Gambia, and now based in the United Kingdom. She is a mother of six, an Emotional Leadership Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, storyteller, and founder of M Power Moms, meaning “Mothers on a Mission.” She also completed a six-week life-coaching training programme with the University of Cambridge.

Her work focuses on motherhood and dreams, supporting mothers who may have lost sight of themselves while caring for everyone else.

“My message is simple: a mother should not have to abandon her dreams to be a good mother. She can hold her children and hold her dreams,” Mariame says.

This mission was born from her own motherhood journey. Through personal challenges, many relocations, moments of losing herself, and the process of rebuilding her life and identity, Mariame discovered that many mothers quietly put their own dreams aside while trying to give their children everything they need.

Her life experiences became a message and a mission for mothers who have lost themselves while caring for everyone else.

Mariame also has a strong heart for humanity and believes that compassion should never have borders. Her lived experiences have shaped her into a compassionate guide who helps mothers feel seen, valued, and supported.

Through M Power Moms, she wants mothers to remember that their lives, identities, and dreams still matter. Her vision is to build a movement where mothers feel seen, supported, and encouraged to pursue their purpose without sacrificing meaningful time with their children.

Mariame’s journey has received international recognition. In 2024, she was recognised by Brainz 500 Global as one of 500 changemakers from around the world. She has also received an Impact Award and been featured in several international magazines, including Global Woman Magazine, in an edition that also featured Oprah Winfrey. She has also had two of her own articles published.

She is now preparing for another meaningful chapter in her journey, with an upcoming book, The Mother Who Dreams, created for mothers who love their children deeply but may have forgotten themselves along the way.
