Behind Mariame Cisse’s work with mothers is a deeply personal story of separation, motherhood, resilience, and rebuilding.
During childhood, Mariame was separated from her mother at the age of six until she was nearly 19. That experience profoundly influenced how she later approached motherhood and her desire to remain present in her children’s lives
As a mother of six, Mariame has relocated twelve different times between Paris and London. Some stays were temporary, while other places became home for much longer. Each relocation meant adjusting, starting again, leaving memories behind, and trying to create stability for her children, even when she did not feel settled herself.
While caring for her family and navigating personal challenges, there were moments when Mariame felt she had lost parts of herself. She loved her children deeply, but gradually realised that being a devoted mother should not mean completely forgetting the woman she was.
“My journey taught me that mothers can love their children with their whole hearts and still have dreams of their own. Wanting to grow does not make a mother selfish,” she says.
Those experiences became the foundation of M Power Moms, meaning “Mothers on a Mission”, and inspired Mariame’s work as an Emotional Leadership Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, storyteller, and global voice for unseen mothers.
She helps mothers find themselves again and make space for their dreams without sacrificing meaningful time with their children. Guided by a deep compassion for humanity, she wants every mother to feel seen, valued, and reminded that her dreams still matter.
Mariame has now reviewed and confirmed the final manuscript of her upcoming book, The Mother Who Dreams, created for mothers who may have lost sight of themselves while caring for everyone else.
Her story carries one central message: “A mother should not have to abandon her dreams to be a good mother. She can hold her children and hold her dreams.”
